Sergio Ilich Loaiza Rodriguez, born in the city of Cusco, self-taught craftsman, researcher and innovator in techniques for the use of local materials.

He lives in Tacna since 2007, dedicated exclusively to the production of houses with mojinete roofs on an artisanal scale in order to revalue this architectural style that unfortunately is disappearing as the years go by; but with the firm intention of rescuing it through the technique of glued sand on a base of pressed cardboard and other materials.

His main contribution in the field of regional crafts are theTACNEÑA THEMED HOUSESthat represent the economic activities  given that it is a city whose main activity is commerce.

Currently, together with his wife Maria Gabriela Marca Mamani, he has started a project, not to say a challenge, which is the WORKSHOP MUSEUM OF POPULAR ART "La Casa del Mojinete".

Also through the experiential craft workshops, it maintains a part of the regional crafts.
