SOUVENIRS

It is called "mojinete" to the combination of mud cake with manure and mat base; This combination makes the roof of these beautiful houses solid, which makes them warm in winter and cool in summer due to its ingenious natural ventilation system in the design of the windows in the upper part of these houses; they exist from the form of double water as the oldest expression and those of trapezoidal form; They still exist in Moquegua, Tacna and the North of Chile, although there are signs of this architecture in Camaná and Punta Bombón and in the extreme south of Arequipa.
